I followed a recommendation here on Substack β€” possibly in one of Anna Codrea-Rado’s β€œA-Mail” newsletters? Whoever pointed me in this direction, I’m grateful.

I'm another AI search answer. I first found you when I was trying to redesign my website and rebranded to show 'all the things'. In 2024 I was looking for inspiration from other multipotentialites who had strong personal brands on how the heck they communicated everything they did without collapsing it into a standard look and feel. It gave me yours. I then found your podcast, books and Substack. Yours was the first newsletter I subscribed to and a week later you shared your retreat in Tuscany and the rest is history as they say.😍

The High Low raved about you in about 2018 so I started listening to your podcast and loved it. After that I read some of your non fiction and have absolutely loved your non fiction too. I’ve enjoyed seeing your newsletter evolve of the years too ☺️

I found you here on Substack, when I first joined 3 years ago, and everyone was talking about the incredible Emma Gannon as an example of how to nail this platform πŸ˜„

I attended a bookclub that was doing "The Success Myth" and loved it so much so I decided to seek out more of your work and found this!

I knew about you already from the Ctrl Alt Delete days because I’m a big new media and podcast nerd. Exactly how I found you here I don’t remember but it was when I was really diving into Substack as a platform, looking for writing inspiration and growing sick of my life as an instagram influencer. Your book The success myth really spoke to me and I bought a yearly subscription to The Hyphen as a β€œwriting inspiration treat” for myself. And I’ve hung around since then, because I’m the same age as you and having done a similar journey from self-made-internet-creative to leaving it all to look for more creative depth and focus. Keep up the good work, Emma! You’re such an inspiration!

I read and loved The Multi-Hyphen Method and then you popped up somehow over here, and I recognised you.

Hello Emma. Listened to you on The Happy Place podcast with Fearne Cotton 🫢 and have read also three of your books( realizing that have read β€œOlive” as gift from a friend years earlier).

I discovered your podcast in 2016- this kept me going on some very long drives to work! I have always been interested in your work and I believe either through a podcast or your newsletter, I discovered Substack and signed up

You were mentioned in an article I read about people with a large number of paid subscribers on Substack, and I was intrigued! That led me to subscribe and also to The Success Myth.

This is a fun question! So how did I find you… via the legend that is Sian Clifford and The Success Myth.

I joined Substack in 2023 - due to a Fleabag re-watch and finding Sian on insta - (at the time she was promoting Still Space) and serendipitously your Success Myth series / podcast ep with her dropped and I was instantly hooked and become a Hyphen member. Then I ended up going to a Success Myth event, a Creative Coffee recording and the Her table x Table for One dinner further cementing my love for you, your writing and community ☺️

I read your book 'Olive' and was very intrigued by your thought process. You felt very authentic.
