I feel you on this. I was a judge for the Baillie Gifford Prize for Nonfiction and although it took up a large chunk of time, I loved every minute of it. I learned so much it was like getting another degree. For those who love books, being a prize judge really is a dream job.

Yes! My brain has expanded for sure. And I know I will miss it when it’s over but it’s inspired me to read more widely. That’s amazing what year did you judge?

This year! Brain still bulging and I have loads of non-fiction recommendations for people. It definitely pushed me into reading in some areas where I don't usually. And I also re-gained my confidence that yes I can actually sit and read an actual physical book many hundreds of pages long without looking at my phone!

Our book group were so proud to shadow review one of the shortlisted non fiction books for last year’s Women’s Prize. Reading them all is a daunting prospect but we look forward to seeing what is chosen.

Congratulations! They picked an excellent team.

Truly living the dream -- I'm so curious to hear about the books you enjoy, despite the danger of ending up in a similar sea of books. It's worth it for the good reading.
