Emma, what a joy it was to be part of your Substack Supper! The whole evening felt like a beautiful, thoughtful celebration of connection. I left feeling so full (of good food and even better energy!). I’ve already made plans for dinner with one of the women I met at the table, have been chatting with others on Instagram and LinkedIn and started following a few more on their own Substack journeys. You created something really special - thank you for bringing us together so intentionally. It was a night I won’t forget. ✨

It honestly means so much that you created the space for that evening to happen - it felt like the kind of night we all needed without even realising it. I’ve come away feeling more grounded in my voice and inspired by the amazing women I met. So glad to hear you’re thinking of doing it again… I’d be there in a heartbeat 💫

What a beautiful read! Such a realness of balance! Emma, you're so modest in your talents and merits. A celebration of you and your book and all the pages in between is so deserved, rich, gratuitous and sublime to read! Living in NI i can't really get to any London events, but I enjoy the joy of Substack connection and embrace the quips and quirks in "huh, me too" or nod of understanding at an articulation i can't muster, but often find i read. A huge congratulations. The book is amazing 👏 🤩 beyond the book, your entire stance, approach and you're (often you may not even be aware!) positive reach is palpable. Current vibe: zero wine. Book. Sun. Solo. Bliss and appreciation ✨️ xx

So glad the first week is going well! Love the pics from the event - the way everyone is so animated, lost in conversation while a bright flash catches them mid-laughter. They remind me of the pics you’d get developed after a birthday party back when we were kids 🥰

Thursday was so dreamy. On the way home I realised as well that when I read A Year of Nothing it was hugely helpful that you talked about using your savings. I've raided my savings over the last two years and felt hugely guilty about it. So, thank you.

This is interesting (and timely) to read because I’ve been having to do this a bit recently and it causes me a lot of anxiety. But thinking objectively, I guess that’s what they’re there for. When in a time of transition, we need the care of our previous selves?

We need to have a coffee and a chat about this. It's one of those negative tapes that plays in my head and it's very loaded with fear. But I'm learning how to live the life I want, and recover and care for my family. We've all needed time. This time last year and the year before it was so hard to find the energy. And rather than go into fight mode I tried to find gentleness and compassion that I would give another human being in a heartbeat and yet expect so much from myself. Especially when you have high aptitude there's a pressure to be productive all the time.

I was so happy to see this pop up! It was lovely to attend your chat with Francesca on Tuesday and Lucy and I are planning to attend the event with Leyla later this month as well ❤️

Man, I've got to say, the retreat, the book, meeting you and the other women I now consider friends...it has all just come into my life at such a fortuitous time. I am grateful.

I also wanted to let you know that I was so inspired by our tarot activities on the retreat that I bought Tarot for All Ages when I got home. I've gotten a couple of books already to study it deeper AND I've been doing a daily one card pull to supplement my journaling. I am having so much fun!
